Data Centre Design & Build

We will conduct a full technical design assessment of the proposed data centre facility to ensure that all elements of the design will be fit for purpose, will meet the specification and project objectives, and are compliant with current data centre standards and best practice. Following the design process, our expert team can act as the principal contractors to build your data centre or, if you prefer, work as part of your client team for the data centre build. Whichever option you decide is right for you, the Sudlows team will ensure that your facility is constructed and delivered to the highest standards, and does not deviate from the approved design and installation methods

Data Centre Design & Build Process

Combining our data centre design and build expertise, and understanding of the underlying technology enables us to provide independent engineering advice at all stages of a project. This expert knowledge has led us to work with numerous national and international organisations including the BBC, Telefonica and The Co-operative Group.

Our data centre design verification teams make full use of a range of advanced analytical methods, including our own in-house Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), which enables us to simulate, develop and optimise the configuration of a data centre to the highest level of accuracy.

Using industry-leading simulation technologies, we ensure that even before a facility has begun construction, the performance of its cooling architecture has been modelled at millions of locations and verified to be exactly within specification.

We will act as your appointed data centre design and build specialist, and throughout the project will monitor, verify, critique and approve a contractor’s technical submittals and drawings, identifying deviations or performance limiting factors where they exist, in order to mitigate risk.

By conducting a thorough gap analysis, understanding the facility’s capabilities, and implementing robust operation standards, organizations can establish resilient, scalable, and efficient data center environments to support their evolving business objectives.

Data Centre Design & Build

A comprehensive facility overview provides insights into the physical infrastructure of the data center. This includes aspects such as location, building structure, power and cooling systems, network connectivity, security measures, and environmental controls.

Facility Overview

Operation standards encompass the protocols, procedures, and best practices governing the day-to-day management and maintenance of the data center. These standards cover a wide range of areas, including equipment deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, compliance, and sustainability initiatives.

Operating Standards

Gap analysis involves assessing the variance between the current state of the data center infrastructure and the desired state or industry best practices. This analysis helps identify shortcomings, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in terms of technology, infrastructure, security, and operational procedures.
